Drone rental questions
Do I need a license to rent a spray drone?
Yes. You need an FAA Part 107 remote pilot certificate. For spraying or spreading, you also need an FAA Part 137 operator certificate (with the exemption for drones over 55 lb) and a state pesticide applicator license. Our FAA training team can help you get certified.
How is the price calculated?
Drone rental pricing is simple: you pay the daily rate for short rentals. From 7 days the weekly rate applies, and from 28 days the monthly rate. For example, 8 days is billed as 1 week plus 1 day. The booking form shows your total before you pay.
Can you ship the drone to me?
Yes. We deliver anywhere in the USA for a flat one-time fee added at checkout, and it covers the return too. Delivery bookings start at least 7 days ahead because batteries ship by ground. You can also collect it for free at our shop in Ankeny, Iowa.
How does return shipping work?
We take care of it. When your rental ends, we arrange the return shipment and send you the label and pickup details. You pack the drone the way it arrived and hand it to the carrier. If you buy the drone through rent-to-own, there is nothing to ship back.
What happens if the drone is damaged?
You are responsible for damage during the rental, covered by your hull insurance or our optional damage waiver. Normal wear is never charged.
Can I cancel my booking?
Cancellations are free up to 7 days before your start date. Within 7 days, 50% of the rental is kept. The deposit is always refunded.
Can I rent several drones for a season?
Yes. We have 5 of each spray drone. Contact us for a multi-drone or full-season quote.
