File guidelines
The cleaner the file, the faster your quote. Send a 3D model with the units and the quantity you need.
- Include the units (mm or inches) and overall size.
- Tell us what the part does and which drone it fits.
- Let us know if it needs to be strong, flexible or heat resistant.
No 3D file? Send photos and measurements of the part and we will tell you what is possible.

What are DroneX-brand parts?
They are parts designed and made in-house by our team in Ankeny, Iowa. Each one is built to solve a problem we see on drones that come through our repair shop.
Can you print a part I designed?
Yes. Send us your 3D file (STL, STEP, 3MF or OBJ) with the quantity you need. We review it and send you a quote before anything is printed.
What if I do not have a 3D file?
Send photos and measurements of the part, or describe what you need. We will let you know what is possible.
How much does custom printing cost?
Every part is different, so we quote each request based on size, quantity and material. You approve the price before we start.
How long does it take?
It depends on the part and quantity. We include a timeline with your quote.
Do you keep my design private?
Yes. Your files are only used to make your parts.
